RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Directs activities of the division's operations team.
  • Manages locations with revenue up to $15M annually.
  • Oversee and coordinate all activities within the assigned functional area.
  • Define, track, and maintain key performance metrics, including order fill rate, on-time delivery, equipment utilization, and inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure proper vehicle maintenance schedules are followed, and that vehicle condition reports are completed and addressed.
  • Evaluate product flow to ensure optimal space utilization and labor efficiency.
  • Verify that inventory levels and cycle counting procedures are properly maintained.
  • Monitor and control operational expenses across managed departments.
  • Perform audits to identify and address any metrics that fall below company standards or requirements.
  • Analyze operational data from metrics and audits to assess performance and develop strategies that drive continuous improvement across all locations.
  • Lead regular operations meetings with management teams at various locations to discuss performance and priorities.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges, implementing effective solutions.
  • Support the development of store budgets and ensure each department adheres to financial guidelines.
  • Partner with Sales Management to ensure effective communication and ongoing training across teams.
  • Work with customers to resolve issues and ensure timely follow-up on customer complaints for satisfactory resolutions.
  • Monitor and assess the productivity of departments, including counter, warehouse, and logistics/drivers.
  • Focus on optimizing warehouse and delivery operations to ensure timely product delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures for interactions with customers, vendors, and employees.
  • Collaborate with HR and other support departments to ensure effective training, hiring, termination, performance management, and wage recommendations, while ensuring full compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement best practice strategies to drive operational efficiency.
  • Oversee and manage monthly operations P&L performance across multiple business areas.
  • Foster strong customer relationships while maintaining high-quality service standards.
  • Ensure workplace safety by monitoring conditions and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Lead and motivate operational teams with a focus on engagement, respect, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with Branch Managers to review personnel assignments, adjusting staffing based on service requirements and sales goals.
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with the company's attendance policy.
  • Set location-specific goals and create work schedules to ensure these goals are met.
  • Review production, expense, labor, and operational reports to ensure efficient store operations.
  • Confirm that regular counter, driver, and warehouse meetings are conducted, and attend all relevant meetings.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • 4 years’ experience with building industry operations.
  • Supervise a team of 6 or more associates (including both direct and indirect reports).
  • Provide regular performance feedback and development opportunities.
  • Extensive knowledge of the warehouse process, dispatch/transportation process, counter sales process, and products.
  • Ability to manage budget responsibilities.
  • Authority to hire and terminate employees.
  • Ability to travel 10%.
