Responsibilities:
- The Operations Manager will manage Production, Shipping, and Maintenance Departments, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Oversee equipment, personnel, and department operations.
- Align plant strategies with corporate goals and communicate key information to the Plant General Manager.
- The Operations Manager will share Profit and Loss accountability with the Plant General Manager.
- Drive continuous improvement in operations, quality, and cost management.
- Generate regular reports and assist in budget preparation.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and efficient resource utilization.
- The Operations Manager will coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff, ensuring safety and quality standards.
- Manage labor relations and enforce plant procedures.
- Administer operating and capital budgets to improve plant performance and productivity.
- Lead special projects for senior management.
Qualifications:
- The Operations Manager must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Must have 5+ years of work experience in carbon black manufacturing.
- Must have 2+ years of Supervisory experience.
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
- The Operations Manager must have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in labor relations, safety management, and cost control.
- Proficiency with PC and network applications.
- The Operations Manager must have a strong understanding of carbon black production and budgeting.
