Job Summary:
The Operations Manager must oversee daily operations and production activities at the power plant. Manage and direct operations personnel, ensuring optimal plant performance, safety, and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. Supervise plant chemistry, water balance, economic dispatch, and ensure operational efficiency. Develop and implement safety programs, including training, certifications, and compliance with safety regulations. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of compliance documents.

Job Responsibilities:
- The Operations Manager must manage operations and maintenance activities across various functions (control room, crane operations, plant maintenance, water treatment, etc.).
- Lead staff performance, human resources, budgeting, and cost management.
- Make decisions on resource allocation, project approach, and operational tasks to meet plant objectives.
- The Operations Manager must oversee large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with operational goals and safety standards.
- Develop work schedules, balance workloads, and monitor performance quality.
- Conduct performance reviews, manage promotions and pay actions, and guide staff development.
- The Operations Manager must take part in recruiting and selecting plant personnel.
Job Requirements:
- The Operations Manager must hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Must have 5+ years of power plant operations experience, with a focus on combustion turbines.
- Must have 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
- The Operations Manager must have a valid state driver’s license.
- Must have excellent communication and computer skills.
