Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance manufacturing activities in the organization including production, warehousing, QA, Sanitation and Engineering departments.
- Coordinate the daily activities of the production and operation teams.
- Responsible for daily production meetings to communicate on work status to management and other departments, receives production reports and helps develop solutions to production issues.
- Responsible for supervising and coordinating unloading of inbound shipments, picking, and staging of product, and picking and staging of outbound shipments.
- Review materials and finished products to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Hire, train, and evaluate employees to work productively.
- Perform employee training in equipment operations and resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Suggest and implement measures to motivate employees and to improve warehouse methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred in related discipline.
- Must have 5-7 years of leadership experience and extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices of food manufacturing, production, and distribution operations.
- Understanding of safety procedures including: SQF, HACCP, and OSHA requirements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and WMS applications.
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
