RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide financial analysis and exercise exceptional decision-making skills to advise leadership on analysis results. 
  • Oversee development of the plant budget, including ROI analysis, plant financial operation review, conduct meetings, conduct variance analysis, etc.
  • Prepare cost saving strategies and ways to maintain cost standards.
  • Oversee financial objectives alongside Plant Manager.
  • Act as liaison and business partner for company leadership.
  • Advise company leadership on cost saving initiates, what is driving increased costs, etc.
  • Discover ways to improve profitability.
  • Oversee and cultivate accounting and finance staff.
  • Conduct employee performance analysis for financial staff.
  • Host monthly plant operation review meetings.
  • Analyze actual vs. budget for labor dollars, review labor efficiencies, labor variances, material usage metrics and overhead rates for facility.
  • Assist with the development of corrective actions for metrics including material, labor, and overhead spending.
  • Uncover variances and assist with monitoring and tracking plant goals.
  • Schedule financial analysts and capital evaluation annually.
  • Oversee and track cost files and monitor new product initiation.
  • Manage the plant budgeting processes and prepare the annual budget for the plant.
  • Discuss costs with various departments to pinpoint labor, material and overhead costs to forecast necessary budget.
  • Maintain awareness of the activity-based costing model and pinpoint plant needs using the model.
  • Manage and oversee inventory transactions.
  • Conduct inventory variance analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience. 
  • Must have experience with MRP and ERP systems.
  • Experience with cost accounting for manufacturing industry.
  • Familiar with variance analysis.
  • Knowledge of bar coding.
