RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct and coordinate daily operations of the fabrication steel plant to meet production goals and customer requirements.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor production processes and equipment performance to identify and address any issues or bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among staff members.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
- Monitor product quality through inspections and testing procedures and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to continuously improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
- Manage plant resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize utilization and minimize waste.
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to plant staff, including supervisors, technicians, and operators, to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Train and develop employees to enhance their skills and capabilities and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet production requirements.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees to promote professional growth and development.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction initiatives, and lead efforts to implement best practices and innovative solutions.
- Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout the plant organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in plant management or operations leadership roles within the steel fabrication industry.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, equipment, and technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results, manage change, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in data analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
- Knowledge of electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.).
