Position Overview:
Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain for the Americas, the Plant Manager will lead operations at the CA facility. This includes overseeing manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, distribution, quality, safety, and purchasing. The role ensures production meets safety, GMP, and customer specifications, and is responsible for contracting outside services for facility and equipment maintenance. Monthly performance reporting to senior management is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
- The Plant Manager will drive cost savings and optimize plant operations to minimize manufacturing costs.
- Manage operational budget and maintain financial controls.
- Foster effective relationships across internal and external business functions.
- The Plant Manager will maximize resource efficiency (equipment, materials, and staff) to minimize costs.
- Establish and enforce plant quality programs to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
- Implement in-line quality controls to prevent defects and reduce out-of-spec products.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and GMP standards, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- The Plant Manager must maintain all necessary licenses (e.g., city business, water discharge permits).
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop preventative maintenance plans.
- Lead corrective actions to improve production reliability and reduce downtime.
Requirements:
- The Plant Manager must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry
- Must have 5+ years in plant operations, from food manufacturing/ production management background.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Proactive with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and operational improvements.
- The Plant Manager must be proficient with computer applications and operating systems (SAP preferred).
- Analytical problem-solving skills and experience with process optimization.
- Occasional domestic travel (approx. once per year).
