Responsibilities:
- The Precision Machine Assembler will read blueprints from the engineers and carry out shop orders whether it’s hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic.
- Identify effective setup methods for production, and the correct sequence for machine assembly for proper operation.
- Assist with start-up and testing on all machines and verify specific orders where followed with equipment to meet customer’s needs.
- The Precision Machine Assembler will verify part SKU codes to stock list and blueprints.
- Pick out appropriate tools to place on jigs and or fixtures needed in machine assembly.
- Layout hole patterns and drill on parts for assembling machines or materials as required.
- Use detailed blueprints and schematics to properly fit and assemble machine components.
- Verify the correct alignment and tolerances of all moving parts before proceeding on machine.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, Associates Degree in Machining or Manufacturing field preferred.
- Must have 2 years of machinery assembly, hydraulics, and pneumatics experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and have a mechanical aptitude.
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational, problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to work semi-independently and as a team with the electrical/mechanical engineers and project managers.
- Must have indicators, personal small measuring tools, and similar items to carry out job.
- Ability to lift to 60 lbs.
- Can move heavy parts using machines like cranes, slings, carts, and other devices
- Can work overtime and weekends as required; some travel is required
