Responsibilities:
- The Process Technician will oversee process parameters and the mold protection settings are on schedule and according to process specifications.
- At times will assist in training new and existing Process Technicians and Operators, when needed by management.
- Participate in the mold changes and all machines reduce downtimes and increase uptime/throughput.
- The Process Technician will increase running times on all machines with the goal of reducing and removing downtime.
- The Process Technician will document process parameters and turn them into the Master Setup Sheets.
- Ensure all safety features are adhered to and functioning, such as the drop bar and all safety switches.
- Will respond to all the Quality/Operator problems regarding the parts and its processes.
- Always maintain a neat and clean environment.
- Drive to reduce scrap by eliminating the mold conditions correctly using the acting and mold maintenance forms.
- Identify all maintenance concerns early on and work to assist with a resolution.
- Assist in the reduction of external PPM to 100 or less and reduce internal PPM to 1250 or less.
- Perform all other duties, as needed by the Shift Supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Required to work 2nd shift.
- 3+ years of experience required.
- Knowledge of industrial machine sounds and mechanical processes and functions.
- Analytical and observational skills.
- Knowledge of reports and how to write them.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
