RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee product procurement at global fulfillment center
- Replenish domestic and imported food products
- Build and maintain vendor and supplier relationships
- Calculate projected landed costs
- Negotiating best pricing from suppliers
- Ensure vendor documentation is updated in a timely manner
- Prepare food safety documents and needed certificates
- Handle all import documents
- Exercise global food safety regulations for international shipping
- Analyze cost-saving strategies
- Oversee the procurement staff
- Import food import procurement skills such as
- Exercise knowledge of international shipping and food safety regulations
- Resolve quality issue that arise
- Forecast purchases and product availability related to each season
- Other tasks as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Ideal Procurement Manager will have minimum 5 years’ experience
- Must have buying experience within the food and beverage industry
- International procurement experience
- Experience negotiating with suppliers
- Knowledge of international food safety shipping regulations
- Willing to undergo background check and drug screen
