RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that optimize quality, cost, and timely delivery of materials and services.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and capabilities.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers while ensuring compliance with company standards and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality control, and finance to assess procurement needs and specifications.
- Manage and monitor suppliers' performance to ensure contractual terms and service levels are being met.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including vendor contracts, pricing databases, and order histories, in accordance with company policies.
- Address and resolve any issues related to the quality of goods or services provided.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to foster innovation and ensure the company maintains a competitive edge.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, ideally within the packaging or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable terms.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems and other procurement software.
- Experience with NetSuite business platform preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large amounts of data to make informed decisions.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A commitment to ethical procurement standards and understanding of compliance regulations.
