RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production Engineer will train machine operators in tasks and company requirements.
- Observe, review, and set a plan to improve labor standards and production process.
- Be hands-on with numerous manufacturing equipment on the floor and maintain a focus on Electromechanical machining and its assembly.
- Production Engineer I will assist operators at “bench level” yield their performance and quality.
- Ensure that Lean and 5s tools are being utilized throughout the work floor.
- Collaborate on root-cause analysis, review quality discrepancies and take corrective action when needed.
- Use, document, and update ERP/ Assembly planner system.
- Collaborate with other management, machine operators, and QC personnel to brainstorm improvements to maximize productivity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of related experience
- The Production Engineer must be able to set up wire possessing equipment.
- Ability to be a team leader with great verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to travel less than 10%
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to implement LEAN and 5s processes.
- Knowledge of machine shops and their practices along with Electromechanical/ Mechanical
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, and squat occasionally.
