RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and direct the production team, including operators of commercial printing machines and presses.
- Maintain effective communication, provide training, and support professional development to enhance team performance and morale.
- Encourage a cooperative and results-driven work environment, emphasizing continuous improvement and accountability.
- Manage production schedules to ensure timely project completion while balancing capacity and workload efficiently.
- Streamline workflow processes from pre-press to final output to boost efficiency and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as design, sales, and shipping to fulfill client requirements and ensure seamless operations.
- Establish and uphold quality assurance standards across all printing processes.
- Conduct regular inspections of materials, equipment, and final products to ensure compliance with quality benchmarks.
- Oversee the operation and upkeep of digital and traditional printing presses.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure the equipment is properly maintained and fully operational.
- Assess and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements to enhance production capabilities.
- Ensure all production activities adhere to safety regulations and industry’s best practices.
- Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols, providing staff with comprehensive safety training.
- Monitor production expenses and implement cost-effective strategies while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Prepare and present production reports to senior management, detailing performance metrics and operational insights.
- Assist with budgeting for materials, labor, and equipment to ensure efficient resource allocation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least five years of experience in production management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the printing industry.
- Hands-on experience with various printing equipment, including Heidelberg, Canon, Xerox, and offset presses.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing production teams and driving performance improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in production management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of printing processes, equipment maintenance, and workflow optimization.
- Experience in production scheduling, quality control, and cost management.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with production management software and related tools.
