RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee production flow on the manufacturing floor.
- Collaborate with the master scheduler to set production priorities.
- Ensure schedule adherence for successful project execution.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate employees, setting clear expectations and providing timely performance feedback.
- Ensure all staff are trained according to ISO standards, with all training documentation completed and filed promptly.
- Evaluate the strengths and development needs of team members, offering feedback and contributing to their development plans to create growth opportunities.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to organize production cells for optimal efficiency.
- Crosstrain employees across various processes to enhance cell flexibility.
- Establish workflows and assign responsibilities for each product to minimize production time and achieve metrics for on-time delivery, cycle time, and throughput.
- Design work cells to maximize efficiency.
- Align management objectives with production activities by effectively communicating company policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Work with the Quality team to establish and uphold quality standards.
- Ensure thorough inspection of parts to guarantee a high-quality final product.
- Address deficiencies in production processes to enhance overall quality.
- Advocate for employees, providing recognition when deserved and holding team members accountable, including implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required.
- Strong leadership abilities, including effective communication and problem-solving skills, with a capacity to set goals and provide respectful, constructive feedback to foster positive relationships and enhance business outcomes.
- Proficient computer skills paired with excellent technical and practical skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and production concepts and their applications.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S methodology, Theory of Constraints, or Cell Manufacturing.
