RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review production schedules to understand product types, quantities, and specifications.
- Follow production priorities set by the Production Manager.
- Develop and manage operational schedules to ensure adherence to production and quality standards.
- Monitor and resolve operational issues to minimize costs and prevent delays.
- Inspect machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to operational standards.
- Address worker grievances or escalate them to HR when necessary.
- Schedule machine operators, manage time records, and handle time-off requests.
- Assume additional responsibilities, including set-up and material handling, as needed.
- Conduct frequent quality checks to minimize scrap and rework.
- Oversee cleanliness and organization of the production area.
- Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Propose changes to working conditions and equipment usage to enhance efficiency.
- Analyze and address work problems and assist workers in problem-solving.
- Develop strategies to motivate employees and achieve production goals.
- Report equipment malfunctions to the Production Manager and/or maintenance team.
- Perform duties of supervised workers when necessary.
- Fill in for the Production Manager as needed, including adjusting production schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Experience with Injection Molding Plastic.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and make decisions quickly and effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with production management software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, managing multiple priorities.
- Flexibility to work on 2nd shift, including evenings and weekends, as required by production needs.
