RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and evaluate products, services, and equipment for purchase
- Assess and select suppliers, ensuring the best fit for procurement needs
- Forecast inventory demands, manage purchasing schedules, and control costs
- Supervise daily operations of the purchasing team, assigning tasks and overseeing workflow
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost-efficiency and product quality
- Ensure all purchased items meet company standards through quality control measures
- Manage the procurement budget and prepare cost estimates for projects
- Review purchasing processes regularly to identify opportunities for cost reduction
- Analyze inventory to reduce slow-moving stock and improve overall efficiency
- Maintain accurate purchase records, supplier databases, and procurement contracts
- Take on additional tasks as needed to support company objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven track record as a Purchasing Manager or in a comparable role
- Strong expertise in supply chain management, materials management, and inventory control
- Skilled in vendor negotiations and managing supplier relationships
- Ability to design and execute purchasing strategies that streamline procurement processes
