Responsibilities
- Supplier Performance Management
- Maintain procurement standards and documentation for ISO-9001, TS16949 & ISO14001
- Locate qualified vendors for requested items.
- Input, process, and expedite orders in the MRP system.
- File claims on damaged incoming goods.
- Arrange disposition of non-conforming materials
- Manage waste disposal.
- Manage testing and storing of potentially hazardous materials.
- Explore lean practices, consignment, Kanban, new materials, vendor-managed inventory, and supplier selection.
- Track and evaluate metal market trends.
- Manage inbound freight/freight carriers, and track supplier on-time delivery and premium freight.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years’ experience in procurement/purchasing in a manufacturing environment
- Supervisory experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience working with MRP systems.
- Proficient computer skills in Outlook, MS-office, TCM(Total Contract Management)
- Demonstrate successful negotiating and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and data management skills
