Responsibilities:
  • The Quality and Compliance Manager must develop and oversee all Quality and Compliance programs.
  • Manage food code compliance, including policy development, audit preparation, and corrective actions.
  • Set Quality performance goals and communicate metrics organization-wide; analyze trends and implement improvements.
  • Lead Quality improvement initiatives across multiple U.S. manufacturing sites.
  • The Quality and Compliance Manager must maintain Corporate Quality System documentation and support site-specific needs.
  • Oversee the Customer Complaint process, ensuring root causes and corrective actions are addressed.
  • Resolve Food Safety, Quality, and Process Control issues using Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventative Action tools.
  • Foster a data-driven approach to quality and process challenges.
  • The Quality and Compliance Manager must collaborate with Product Teams to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Work with the Supply Chain Team on Supplier Qualifications, audits, and product launches.
  • Mentor Site Quality Managers on local quality programs and audits.
  • Provide technical leadership for plant Quality Labs, ensuring equipment calibration and compliance with testing methods.
  • The Quality and Compliance Manager must contribute to the Product Innovation Teams, developing quality control plans for new products.
  • Stay informed of industry developments through active participation in relevant associations.
  • Prepare legal and regulatory reports as needed.

Qualifications:
  • The Quality and Compliance Manager must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
  • Must have ASQ certification.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience leading quality teams in a production environment.
  • Must have food packaging experience.
  • Proven ability to build effective cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with SQF.
  • The Quality and Compliance Manager must have strong interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage responsibilities independently.
  • Project management skills with effective planning and feedback capabilities.
  • Collaborative mindset for working with internal departments and external partners.
  • The Quality and Compliance Manager must be proficient in data collection, analysis, and project management.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and statistical analysis tools like Minitab.
  • The Quality and Compliance Manager must travel 50% of the time for audits and training.
  • Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions, mechanical parts, and high noise levels.
