  • Lead the development of new resin formulations and the optimization of existing ones to enhance the performance, durability, and manufacturability of bowling balls.
  • Conduct comprehensive material characterization studies, including mechanical, thermal, and rheological analyses, to understand the properties and performance of various resins and composites.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality control, and marketing, to translate research findings into commercially viable products.
  • Design and execute experiments to assess the performance of different resin systems under varying conditions relevant to bowling, such as impact resistance, surface texture, and reaction on different lane conditions.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements in resin technology and material sciences, evaluating their applicability to bowling ball manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including project reports, material specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in all R&D activities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in R&D, focusing on resin manufacturing processes, polymer chemistry, or material sciences. Experience in the bowling industry or sports equipment manufacturing is a significant advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive projects from concept through to commercialization.
  • Proficient in laboratory techniques and instrumentation relevant to polymer and material analysis (e.g., DSC, TGA, rheometry, mechanical testing).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Passionate about bowling, with a deep understanding of the sport’s technical aspects and market trends.
