RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and refine new products and special designs, either by building on existing concepts or creating new ideas from sketches.
- Train manufacturing staff on the construction of new market models and updates to existing products.
- Review and process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as needed.
- Confirm all sourced components are received on time and meet specified requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date R&D documentation in compliance with Knu9000 standards and CFR Title 21 regulations.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for new products, special designs, and product modifications.
- Collaborate with CAD Technicians to generate detailed drawings for new and updated parts.
- Partner with Pattern Layout Technicians to ensure sewing and cutting patterns align with the product’s design specifications.
- Design new patterns for emerging market models.
- Ensure product designs are developed within established cost constraints.
- Work closely with the Quality Department to produce clear, photo-based work instructions.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3 years’ experience as an R&D Technician desired.
- Experience or ability to quickly learn AS400.
- Must be able to read and interpret CAD drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
