RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide phone and on-site customer technical support and repair for public safety grade two way radio VHF/UHF/800/900 equipment
- Assist customers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of two-way radio base stations (Bi-Directional Amplifiers), repeaters, multiplexers, antenna systems, and power systems
- Provide customers with training and support to providers.
- Identify and resolve technical issues/failures on radio equipment
- Program, maintain, perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot, and repair multifaceted systems
- Set up, configure, and use complex instrumentation to perform communication tests and maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with communication test equipment, preferably wireless communication.
- Must be familiar with NFPA and IFC codes for Emergency Responder Radio Coverage Systems.
- Strong customer service skills and a proven ability to work with both internal and external customers.
- Familiar with Cellular coverage studies, isolation tests, cable & antenna line sweeps, and acceptance certifications for BDA/DAS projects.
- Document test results and generate associated system reports for system acceptance.
- Strong understanding of electronics and RF principles
- 2 years’ experience and an Associates in Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred.
- Military experience in communications is welcomed
