RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations on patients using radiologic technologies, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and mammography, adhering to prescribed safety standards.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, addressing any concerns, and positioning patients correctly to achieve the best diagnostic outcome.
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, troubleshooting any issues and ensuring that all equipment is in proper working condition.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate imaging techniques and protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all procedures performed and ensuring the confidentiality and security of patient information.
- Implement and adhere to health and safety standards and protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay abreast of advancements in radiologic technology and techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or a related field from an accredited program.
- Valid certification and registration as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Radiologic Technologist State licensure as required by law.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Proficiency in using radiologic equipment and software.
