Overview: The Regional Operations Director oversees fixed operations personnel and ensures alignment with the company’s standards for productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction across dealerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Regional Operations Director must communicate the company’s requirements and goals to dealership management.
- Recruit and train fixed management personnel as needed.
- Supervise dealership management to meet manufacturer and dealership objectives.
- The Regional Operations Director must foster strong relationships with the company’s management, dealership teams, and regional personnel.
- Conduct regular dealership visits to monitor operations.
- The Regional Operations Director must ensure focus on departmental goals set by the dealership management.
- Verify compliance with safety standards and procedures.
- Assist in forecasting personnel, expenses, and sales goals.
- Monitor Customer Satisfaction Index ratings for compliance.
- The Regional Operations Director must provide recommendations to dealership management.
- Promote recruitment of management candidates internally and externally.
- Implement and maintain accepted processes in fixed operations.
- Ensure receivable schedules and metrics adhere to the company’s guidelines.
- The Regional Operations Director must maintain the required reporting systems for management and manufacturers.
- Organize regular Operations meetings within the market.
- Oversee regional warranty operations for compliance and claim accuracy.
- Review service and parts pricing for competitiveness and profitability.
- The Regional Operations Director must collaborate with dealership General Management on fixed operations.
- Work effectively with the National Parts and Collision Directors.
- Conduct periodic performance evaluations for fixed management and ensure staff evaluations
- The Regional Operations Director must hold a degree in Operations.
- Must have 10+ years of fixed operations experience in a leadership role
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of automotive multi-dealership experience.
- Strong project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient with computers
