RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtain competitive pricing
- Negotiate with vendors including quantity and prices
- Attend trade shows as needed
- Obtain new suppliers
- Meet with buying team to coordinate efforts
- Act professionally as a company representative
- Adhere to all company policies
- Engage in problem solving
- Exercise strong analytical skills
- Communicate with vendors regularly
- Engage in planning and development for upcoming new categories
- Maintain seasonal buying schedule
- Analyze current market prices
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Ideal Retail Buyer will have minimum 3 years’ experience
- Must have experience purchasing surfing apparel
- Experience within product development desired
- Experience negotiating with suppliersÂ
- Ability to work 44 hours per week
