RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets in the Richmond, VA market and surrounding areas.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support to maximize individual and team performance.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship-building with key decision-makers in target industries and vertical markets.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in meeting their evolving workspace needs.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales strategies with market trends, customer feedback, and product innovation initiatives.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale with customers, ensuring alignment with company policies, profitability goals, and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies relevant to workspace design, office furniture, and architectural solutions.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to promote brand awareness, showcase products, and generate leads.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all interactions with customers, partners, and colleagues, reflecting the values and culture of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Proven track record of success in B2B sales management, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in selling office furniture, workspace solutions, or related products.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve individual and collective goals in a dynamic and competitive market.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence decision-making at all levels of an organization.
- Strategic thinker with analytical abilities to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights, and translate findings into actionable strategies and initiatives.
- Customer-focused mindset, with a passion for delivering exceptional service, building long-term relationships, and exceeding customer expectations.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in developing sales forecasts, pipelines, and performance reports.
- Results-driven attitude, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets, drive revenue growth, and achieve profitability objectives.
- Flexibility to travel within the Richmond, VA area and occasionally nationally as needed for client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
- Commitment to continuous learning, personal development, and staying current with industry best practices, trends, and innovations in workspace design and office furniture solutions.
