RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical expertise on products and applications
- Offer inside sales support to customers
- Assist field sales engineers and Beck representatives
- Troubleshoot, assist with start-up, and provide training in the field
- Contribute to marketing initiatives, including website updates, sales literature, instructional materials, new product development, and expansion into foreign markets
- Oversee and manage special projects and large orders
- Continuously build and maintain in-depth knowledge of company’s products and their applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve field issues via phone or by visiting customer sites when necessary
- Respond to product selection inquiries and quotation requests via phone, email, or fax
- Review quotes and order documentation for accuracy and proactively resolve any discrepancies
- Travel to customer locations to assist with application issues or to complete drive installations
- Document daily activities in the field to ensure a clear, organized record of events at customer sites
- Manage and maintain project timelines and schedules
- Provide training and mentorship to application engineers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, preferably in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- 7-10 years of industrial experience in an electro-mechanical role is preferred
- Strong electro-mechanical aptitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience in industrial instrumentation and process control is a plus
- Expertise in control valve applications, selection, and actuation is highly desirable
- Experience with contracts is a bonus
- Knowledge of industries such as electric utilities, steel, aluminum, water/wastewater, oil/gas, and pulp and paper is highly valued
- Dependable and consistent attendance is essential
