RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to work with maintenance planner, when necessary, to plan work for preventive maintenance.
- Must resolve complex issues with manufacturing equipment to include servo drives, Siemens PLC, process controls, LDR, SCL, Statement lists, FBD, and read electrical drawings.
- Responsible for design and implementation of controls systems to maximize machine productivity and product quality.
- Must updates schematics (electrical, hydraulic, PLC)
- Must be able to lead and mentor less experienced control technicians and maintenance personnel.
- Must lend Siemens, electrical and automation technical support to the MDF plant when extra assistance is needed.
- Must interface with vendors, outside technical support and contractors as needed.
- Responsible for performing periodic maintenance of automation and control systems.
- Must call ins or accept calls, on a 24/7 basis, to assist shift maintenance resolve complex issues if assistance is needed.
- Must proficiently diagnose complex machine and process issues with the equipment, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and controls.
- Must understand complete set up of critical machine settings.
- Responsible to analyze process issues and understand how to resolve them by repairing or adjusting to factory OEM specifications.
- Must repair the issue in a timely manner with reasonable cost.
- Must properly charge parts to the correct work order and cost center.
- Must analyze the breakdown to understand how to prevent reoccurrence.
- Responsible for communicating with the maintenance planner any unresolved issues to be addressed on PM.
- Must observe the operation of all equipment for issues that might cause breakdown or loss of efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED or College Degree is Preferred
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- 10+ years of experience with PLC controls. Siemens preferred.
- 10+ years of experience with Servo drives, process controls.
- Working knowledge of and ability to work with vision systems.
- Working knowledge of and ability to work with Lenze and SEW drives.
- Working knowledge of and ability to work within Siemens software, Sematic Manager, TIA Portal, WinCC.
- Working knowledge of Allen Bradley (AB) PLC software.
- Working knowledge of and ability to program HMI’s.
- Working knowledge of and ability to work on the communications between the Kuka robots and the PLC.
- Working knowledge of and ability to work within Profibus, Profinet, Device Net, Ethernet.
- Ability to use standard test equipment, not limited to VOM’s and meggers.
