RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and engineer microprocessor-based, mixed-signal circuit boards for integration into products.
- Create product documentation, including project logs, test reports, and design evaluations.
- Build and test prototype circuits.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams on bills of material, documentation, and test fixtures.
- Follow established design and development processes for all engineering projects.
- Ensure projects meet objectives regarding specifications, application, development costs, and unit cost targets.
- Apply design concepts and fundamental technologies to product development.
- Provide regular project status updates.
- Provide electrical engineering assistance as needed for existing products, supporting both production and customers.
- Work with manufacturing teams on bills of material, documentation, and test fixtures.
- Collaborate with operations, quality, and manufacturing teams to drive process improvements and integrate new products.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and data systems.
- Support ISO documentation requirements and ensure compliance with relevant certification agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; an advanced degree is a plus.
- Over 20 years of professional experience in electrical engineering.
- Strong expertise in engineering design, testing, and validation procedures.
- Proficient project management and problem-solving/analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to prioritize, negotiate, and manage multiple tasks.
- Personal integrity, credibility, and a strong dedication to the company's mission.
- 10+ years of experience in electro-mechanical applications with a solid theoretical background.
- Circuit board design, schematic creation, and PCB layout (using tools like Orcad or Altium).
- Open/Closed loop servo mechanisms, motor design, and inverter development.
- Power supply design and development.
- Software development, particularly in C.
- Industrial process control.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, hands-on work environment.
- Effectiveness in both team settings and independent assignments.
