RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing all purchasing, buying, and material control functions for the existing and new construction divisions for both government and commercial programs.
- Responsible for inventory control policies and procedures.
- Must balance safety, cost management and business growth then prepare and submit reports.
- Train and mentor employees, including reinforcement of safety guidelines.
- Report accidents and injuries and ensure proper treatment protocols.
- The Supply Chain Manager must create strategies that increase efficiency and speed.
- Collaborate with other departments to close operational gaps.
- Optimize warehouse functions.
- Handle communications and negotiations with suppliers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Supply Chain Manager must hold a degree in Supply Chain Management or similar.
- Must have a minimum of 8 years of supply chain management experience at a managerial level.
- Must have experience in resource planning and scheduling.
- Ability to lead, train and mentor employees individually and as a team.
- Ability to minimize cost and delay within material control and purchasing functions.
- The Supply Chain Manager must have strong negotiation skills.
- Must be familiar with safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
- Must have a strong understanding of procedural best practices in supply chain management.
- Excellent communication skills,
- The Supply Chain Manager must have experience using SAP or other automated purchasing/material management software. Oracle experience is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites.
