RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Supply Chain Planner must procure raw and packaging materials from vendors.
- Must maintain and utilize business systems (MRP) to perform daily planning, and material purchasing functions.
- Must enter transactions into customer’s ERP system as required (SAP or other).
- Upon receiving customers’ orders and forecasts, must execute planning to meet customer requirements.
- Communicate with customers to resolve any supply chain issues.
- The Supply Chain Planner must coordinate with Vendor to forecast expectations and performance.
- Must understand plant capacity, schedule operations, and provide a production plan to manufacturing.
- Provide project support as required in new project development and product transitions.
- The Supply Chain Planner must continuously improve effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy of the supply chain business processes and the information systems that run them.
- Develop strategies to improve inventory turns and increase inventory accuracy.
- Must ensure utilization of materials and their expiry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Supply Chain Planner must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Planning/Supply Chain or related area.
- Must have 4 years of experience in materials planning/supply chain
- APICS / ASCM certification is a plus.
- Must have a strong understanding of MRP and ERP system concepts and functionality.
- The Supply Chain Planner must have customer service / customer facing experience.
- Must have strong analytical/problem solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) as well as experience with Google suite, MRP Software, Inventory software, and order processing.
- The Supply Chain Planner must be able to multitask and have project management skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Must be a local candidate authorized to work without visa sponsorship.
