RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Choose raw materials based on drawing specifications and prepare them for machining.
- Schedule the steps in the process and allow for rough and finish machining stock allowances for heat treatment.
- Setup and run the following equipment: CNC/manual jig grinders, lap machines, drill presses, cutoff saws, knee mills, vertical machining centers, jig bores, surface grinders, OD grinders, ID grinders, Form grinders, Wire EDM, Vertical EDM, and other relevant machinery.
- Utilize machine and hand tool abilities to obtain high quality running and locational tool fits for mating P/M Tool & Die components and production gauges.
- Obtain required dimensions, shape, and surface finish.
- Comply with established safety and cleanliness standards.
- Finish all necessary process documentation in order to uphold quality standards.
- Support manufacturing and engineering with problem-solving, either individually or as a team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have an Associate’s degree in Integrated Manufacturing Technology or equivalent experience.
- Must have 8 years of die cut experience.
- Must have knowledge of Tool Steel, Cast iron. Plastics and Aluminum.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs and occasionally up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
