RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect finished dies and tools for defects and deformities
- Craft tools and metal forms for purposes of stamping and forging
- Analyze design specifications and test completed products for manufacturing use
- Cut and shape metal, assemble parts, etc.
- Set up machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines
- Cut and shape blocks to specified dimensions
- Fill and grind metals for a smooth finish.
- Fit and assemble tools and die parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings
- Compute metal shapes and tolerances in accordance with company standards
- Design jigs and templates for fabrication of parts
- Measure and identify metal stock for machining
- Conduct test runs with completed tools and dies
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree required
- Ideal Tool/Die Maker will have minimum 3 years’ experience
- Must have manufacturing environment experience
- Knowledge of safety regulations
- Experience designing jigs
- Ability to assemble tools and die parts
- Adept at computing metal shapes and tolerances
- Familiarity fabricating parts
- Willing to undergo a background check and drug screen
