RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Tooling Engineer is responsible for designing tooling and production process for parts.
- Intake all customers concerns, empathize, and understand them and make sure products meet requirements.
- The Tooling Engineer will collaborate with employees to ensure continuous improvement and efficiency of production.
- Oversee and update documentation on work orders, ECNs, and Bill of Materials.
- Make repairs or redesigns for products as needed.
- Will conduct tool and die making, stamping, welding, and assembly.
- Schedule issue resolutions evaluations for other department managers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School or GED
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in engineering and manufacturing.
- Must have a journeyman tool and die making background.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications and CAD applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of QS 9000 and its procedures.
