Responsibilities:
- The Veterinarian will be examining the dog kennels, catteries, nursery, ringworm and FeLV wards
- Hospitalized and Parvo ICU patients will be treated by Veterinarians daily.
- Achieve 30-50 spay/neuter procedures per day at least.
- An effective management system for the care of animals on-site, in hospitals, and in foster homes.
- Provide a wide range of services from routine examinations to advanced medical cases and critical emergencies.
- Prepare and implement outbreak prevention and reaction protocols.
- Ensure telemedicine response is available via email, telephone, Zoom for remote shelter locations, foster families, and adoptive families.
- Keep up to date on all medical protocols and procedures.
- Remote locations may need to be visited as needed.
Qualifications:
- Texas Veterinary License required.
- 1+ years of experience as a Licensed Veterinarian.
- Maintain an optimistic attitude and maintain quality of life despite all types of patient prognoses, including hospice, FeLV, and severe trauma patients.
- Desire to be part of an innovative, resourceful, and diverse team.
- Strong sense of time management.
