RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Vice President of Finance must build and lead the existing Finance and Accounting team, and take active part in recruiting, onboarding and retaining talent.
- Must partner with the President & CEO to work towards budget process and guide key financial decision making for the business throughout the year.
- Must implement workforce planning and headcount growth management, including overtime tracking, attendance, and payroll strategy, inventory optimization, service and membership revenue reporting and KPIs, and practice level discretionary budgets to achieve target profitability.
- Must partner with Operations, Medical, Product, Technology, and Marketing leadership to implement best packages, ensure required tools and levers to monitor, drive and improve the financial performance of the business.
- The Vice President of Finance must work towards long-term strategic blueprint for the business, inclusive of business and growth forecasting, capital requirements for human-capital and physical expansion, valuation implications of key business decisions, etc.
- Must develop all key reporting, financial updates, business commentary, BOD packages, etc.
- Must maintain banking relationships and strategic alliances with debt partners, vendors and business partners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Vice President of Finance must hold a BA/BS degree in finance, accounting or related. MBA preferred.
- Must have a CPA.
- Must have 8+ years of relevant work experience in leading FP&A from a Healthcare / Veterinary background.
- Must have multi-unit financial management experience.
- Must have experience developing of KPIs, budgets, forecasting tools, and strategic plans.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Must have strong financial acumen and be an expert in Microsoft Excel, ideally NetSuite or similar scale accounting systems.
- The Vice President of Finance must have an exceptional knowledge of accounting principles and concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Knowledge of BI solutions is desired, with proficiency for Looker a plus.
- Experience with complex company structures is a plus such as, intercos, MSAs between different entities, consolidation experience.
