Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervising and coordinating unloading of inbound shipments, picking, and staging of product, and picking and staging of outbound shipments.
- Develop and enhance distribution activities in the organization including production, warehousing, QA, Sanitation and Engineering departments.
- Review materials and finished products to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Hire, train, and evaluate employees to work productively.
- Perform employee training in equipment operations and resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Suggest and implement measures to motivate employees and to improve warehouse methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma.
- Must have 5 to 7 years of leadership experience and extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices of warehousing and distribution center operations.
- Forklift experience required.
- Knowledge of DOT and government regulations as it applies to the moving industry.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and WMS applications.
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
- Outstanding communication ability.
- Excellent organizational and leaderships skills.
