RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all aspects of yard operations, ensuring efficient utilization of space, resources, and personnel.
- Manage inventory of construction materials and equipment, ensuring accuracy and availability for projects.
- Supervise and lead a team of yard associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Develop and implement procedures to optimize yard operations, including loading, unloading, and storage processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among team members.
- Coordinate with other departments such as logistics, procurement, and project management to meet operational goals and deadlines.
- Monitor and maintain yard equipment, scheduling regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Prepare reports and analyze key metrics to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment where teamwork and communication are encouraged.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Proven experience 2 years in yard operations management or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse or yard environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
